Wednesday, September 10th , 2149
Paris shortstop José Carmona keeps on racking up hits every time he plays.
His hitting streak now stands at 20 games after collecting 1 hit at Meteor Crater. The Fleur-de-Lis earned the 8-5 victory over the Melbourne Meteors.
"I have been seeing the ball really good the last few weeks, but I am a bit surprised how things are working out," Carmona said. "I've gotten a couple flares to drop in, so I've also been a little lucky." José Carmona was hit by a pitch in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Keitaro Ito in the 3rd, grounded out in the 4th and struck out in the 7th.
This year, Carmona is hitting .296 with 25 home runs and 86 RBIs to his credit. He has gotten on base at a .305 clip and scored 70 runs.
