The Mexico City Aztecs used the hitting of left fielder Alfonso Alfaro to subdue the El Paso Thunderbirds, 8-3. For the game, Alfaro was 3 for 5 with a home run and a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. With their winning streak at 4, the Aztecs have raced to a strong start this season.

In the bottom of the seventh, the Aztecs grabbed the lead when Alfaro hit his 7th home run of the season. The 3-run home run off Tien Dung Long made it 4-3, Mexico City.
