The Sao Paulo Toucans nipped the Mexico City Aztecs, 7-6, at Toucans Ballpark. Sao Paulo catcher Rubén Ramos, in particular, starred. Asir Qutaybah was the winner in relief. His record is now 6-1. The losing pitcher was Ben Middleton. With the win, Sao Paulo pushed its record to 59-48.

Sao Paulo went in front, 7-6, on Gotthold Hildebrandt's 7th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Hildebrandt hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Mexico City pitcher Ben Middleton visibly perturbed.

"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Sao Paulo manager Casey Blake DeWitt.
