The El Paso Thunderbirds firmly defeated the Sao Paulo Toucans, 16-4, at Thunderdome. The El Paso offense was lit. Thao Trung, for one, had a solid game. He hit 2 home runs. He scored 3 times and drove in 5 for the Thunderbirds. El Paso pitcher Tien Dung Long got the win, upping his record to 19-7. Mariano Segura got the loss. With the win, El Paso has a record of 86-47. Sao Paulo falls to 67-66.

Finlay Hewitt, who finished 4th in the IBL in doubles with 39 in 2144, took Sao Paulo hurler Mariano Segura deep in the bottom of the second. His 2-run home run put the Thunderbirds on top, 2-0. In all, Hewitt had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 5.
