The rain could not dampen the enthusiasm of Havana fans at El Estadio Latinoamericano.

The Havana Dolphins knocked off the El Paso Thunderbirds, 10-5, in Americas Baseball League action at El Estadio Latinoamericano. Havana pitcher and Heiloo, The Netherlands, native Rens Buizer had an outstanding performance. With the win, the Dolphins have a record of 68-71.

Stefan Oeggl had a big 3-run home run for the Dolphins in the bottom of the first inning. With Havana trailing 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he sized up a circle change from Gregor Finlater, who finished 4th in the IBL in strikeouts with 192 in 2140, and punished it. The result was his 12th home run of the season, which put the Dolphins on top, 3-1.

"I made some pitches when I had to," said Buizer.
