The 6-4 Los Angeles win over Mexico City was due in large part to Jesús Sosa. The Stars first baseman was 3 for 3 with 3 singles and a walk, while scoring 3 times. Roger Oldford picked up the win, improving his season record to 12-11. He struck out 4 in 6.2 innings. Los Angeles is now 61-83.

Din Khokhar had a big 3-run home run for the Stars in the bottom of the first inning. The result was his 13th home run of the season, which put the Stars on top, 4-0.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Sosa told the Los Angeles Citizen.
