Thunderbirds Sunk by Blue Gills

Tokyo Ballpark was the site of a tense game between the El Paso Thunderbirds and Detroit Blue Gills.
Detroit starter Yoshinori Matsushita put a stranglehold on the El Paso offense. The right-hander had complete command of his fastball in leading the Blue Gills to a 3-1 win. Picking up the save was Ragnar Arnfeldt. He's now 28 for 35 in save chances.
The Blue Gills got a big at-bat from right fielder Jesús Aguilera. For the game, Aguilera went 1 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the third, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 26th home run of the season gave Detroit a 2-0 lead.
Matsushita attributed the win to his team's "focus and intensity."
The Blue Gills go to 59-92 with the win.
