The Mexico City Aztecs beat the Chicago Beefs, 4-3. Mexico City pitcher and Sarajevo, Bosnia & Herzegovina, native Rade Perisic led the way. Perisic, now 12-13, was the winner. In 7.2 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 3, walking 1, and allowing 3 runs. Hayato Tsuchida closed the door for Mexico City, picking up his 42nd save of the year.

In the top of the first, Héctor Martínez ambushed a 1-0 changeup from Yee Song and hit a 2-run home run. It gave Mexico City a quick 2-0 lead.

"The division is still up for grabs, but I like our chances," Martínez told the Mexico City Chronicle.

Mexico City sits in first place in the Americas Baseball League North American Division at 92-61.
