Thunderbirds Capture Close Win
The El Paso Thunderbirds topped the Los Angeles Stars, 5-4, in Americas Baseball League action at Thunderdome. The game was highlighted by the performance of El Paso pitcher Dae-il Kim. Amjad Jahangiri, who signed a 2-year contract worth $6,000,000 on 12/21/2148, picked up the win in relief. Sebastian Sporsheim took the loss for Los Angeles. El Paso has run its win streak to 4 straight.

The Thunderbirds were down to their last out in the bottom of the ninth inning, when 25-year old catcher Fawwaz bin Jalal landed a big blow. He turned a 2-1 fastball from Sebastian Sporsheim into a 2-run single. The walk-off single sent the Thunderdome denizens into a frenzy and sent the Thunderbirds home with a thrilling 5-4 win.
