Emperors Whitewashed by Jaros
Before the game, Bretislav Jaros said he liked his chances. His instincts proved to be right. In a superb outing at Glasgow Ballpark, the Asteroids pitcher whitewashed the Shanghai Emperors 1-0.

"I just had a feeling it was going to be my day," Jaros said in the clubhouse afterward. "My control was awesome. I could throw my splitter even when I was behind in the count."

The Adelaide starter held Shanghai scoreless, giving up 3 hits while registering 4 strikeouts and issuing 3 walks.

"We didn't have very many good at-bats," Emperors manager said in a postgame interview. "When that happens, you usually lose."

Checking out his stats for the season, Jaros has registered 12 wins and 6 losses in 22 starts, 2.03 ERA and struck out 111 batters in 155 innings.
