The Mexico City Aztecs picked up a win at Tokyo Ballpark, dropping the Detroit Blue Gills, 7-4. John Collier, who is tied for 4th in the ABL in wins with 6, was the difference-maker. Collier yielded 4 runs over 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 3, and struck out 6. His record improves to 6-2. Picking up the save was three-time All-Star Hayato Tsuchida.

Zhao-ji Zheng was 2-4 with 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs for Mexico City. The former first round draft pick had a key at-bat in the top of the fifth. With no one out and runners on 1st and 2nd, he broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring single off Richard Phillips. It was his 63rd hit of the season.
