Tieh Powers Thunderbirds Offense
The 11-8 El Paso win over Sao Paulo was due largely to Cheng-ho Tieh. The Thunderbirds right fielder was 4 for 5 with a home run and 3 singles. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. Timothy Adamczak closed the door for El Paso, picking up his 14th save of the year. El Paso, now 32-24, has stretched its winning streak to 10 games.

Tien Dung Long, who finished 2nd in the IBL in batting average with .325 in 2146, took Sao Paulo hurler Mariano Segura deep in the bottom of the first. His grand slam home run put the Thunderbirds on top, 4-0. In all, Long had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.

"I hopefully can keep it going and try to stay locked in as long as I can," said Tieh.
