Roderyk Komorowski came through with a big-time hit for Detroit. The second baseman smacked a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to give his team the lead, 3-2. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"Good pitching, clutch hitting," said Detroit skipper C Schu. "I can't complain."
