Aztecs Hammered by Trung, Drop Game 2 to Thunderbirds
El Paso center fielder Thao Trung produced all the offense the Thunderbirds would need in the club's 5-3 win over the Mexico City Aztecs.

Trung was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once, while El Paso moved into a tie in the Divisional Series. The Thunderbirds and Aztecs are now even at 1-1 in the best-of-7 series.

With the game tied, 1-1, in the bottom of the fifth, Trung had a key at-bat for El Paso. With the bases loaded, Trung hit a grand slam home run off Josh German, making the score 5-1, Thunderbirds.

"We've got a great group of guys," Trung said, "and we're having fun right now."

Game 3 is scheduled for Friday at Ballpark of Mexico City in Mexico City.
