Thunderbirds Clip Coqui 3-2 in DS Contest
The El Paso Thunderbirds nearly wasted a strong game from starter Oisín Raven, but were saved by some timely hitting in a walk-off win over the Puerto Rico Coqui today.

Raven threw 8.2 innings of 3-hit ball. The win allowed El Paso to force a 1-1 tie in the best-of-7 Divisional Series.

Gianpaolo Belmondo was the walk-off hero for El Paso. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Thunderbirds pinch hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"I liked his command," said El Paso manager AP MP. "Oisín was throwing strikes."

Game 3 is scheduled for Sunday at Ballpark of San Juan in San Juan.
