Before the game, Giacomo Cafagna said he liked his chances. His instincts proved to be right. In a superb outing at Bayamón Grounds, the Coqui pitcher blanked the Grand Rapids Growlers, 8-0.

"I just had a feeling it was going to be my day," Cafagna said in the clubhouse afterward. "My control was awesome. I could throw my fastball even when I was behind in the count."

The Bayamon starter held Grand Rapids scoreless, giving up 5 hits while registering 7 strikeouts and issuing 1 walk.

"We didn't have very many good at-bats," Growlers manager said in a postgame interview. "When that happens, you usually lose."
