Red-Hot Moody Scorches Jaguars Wednesday, June 3rd , 2150 It was a good day for the Stars at Jaguars Ballpark as they clipped the Belo Horizonte Jaguars, 7-5. It was tremendous day for Charles Moody, who was on a hitting barrage at the plate, finishing 5-for-5. "I don't know what to call that," the Fresno left fielder told reporters after his big performance. "I'm not 'dialed in' or 'in a zone,' I just try to keep it simple. Basically the pitcher throws the ball, I try to pick up the spin, then I hit it. Today I picked up the spin pretty well." Charles Moody doubled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 9th. This season, Moody is hitting at a .291 pace with no home runs, 18 RBIs and has scored 21 times. |
