Behind Bongolan, Gary Blanks Belo Horizonte, 5-0 Tuesday, August 18th , 2150 Gary Smokestacks pitcher Heherson Bongolan blanked the Belo Horizonte Jaguars, 5-0, at Ballpark of Gary, tossing a 4-hitter while issuing no walks and collecting 7 strikeouts. After his sharp shutout performance, he shared credit with the rest of the club. "I was just locked in out there and some of that is due to having a catcher who has such a great feel for hitters," Bongolan said. "I couldn't do what I did without all the guys out there today." So far this year, Bongolan has 8 wins and 7 losses and a 3.01 ERA. |
