Bayamon Shuts Out Colorado Springs, 5-0 Tuesday, July 27th , 2134 Vicente Sánchez of the Bayamon Coqui toyed with the Colorado Springs Royals today, blanking them 5-0 at Ballpark of Portland. He was almost untouchable, baffling them on a 6-hit shutout with 6 strikeouts and no walks. "I'm sweating now because it's hot in here," Sánchez said in the clubhouse after the game. "But it didn't even feel like I was sweating out there." For the season Sánchez has logged 2 wins and 2 losses and struck out 30 batters in 36.1 innings while compiling a 1.98 ERA. |
