Super Week for Sarasota's Christensen! Monday, May 25th, 2105 27-year-old Thurman Christensen made a few Sarasota headlines during this past week as the rookie right fielder proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and ABL Triple A officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 14 hits in 29 at-bats to put up a .483 average. Christensen collected 2 home runs, 9 RBIs and scored 6 runs. So far on the season Christensen is hitting .331 with 3 home runs, 26 RBIs and 22 runs scored. He has 48 hits and played in 47 games. |
