ABL-AAA Best Hitter Trophy Goes to Fernández Thursday, July 1st , 2151 Miguel Fernández is not used to being associated with Batter of the Month-caliber players, but today the Curitiba third baseman joined that select company when the Americas Baseball League announced the results of June's voting. Fernández totaled 27 hits, 14 walks, 8 home runs, 18 RBIs and 14 runs scored last month to put together a .297 batting average and .390 on-base percentage. Currently Fernández is batting .232 with 59 hits and 16 home runs. He has knocked in 42 runs and scored 33 times. |
