Jaguars Ánibal Quiñones to Miss Year Saturday, August 12th, 2113 Ánibal Quiñones of the Jaguars just might have to call it quits for the season. The 29-year-old Recife reliever received a possible season-ending injury against the Portland Emeralds recently at Ballpark of Portland. Quiñones suffered a partially torn labrum while throwing a pitch. The Jaguars medical staff said he could be out quite some time, as much as 5 months. This year Quiñones has registered 1 save in 15 relief appearances. He has also compiled a 0-1 won-lost mark with a 3.71 ERA. In 17 innings he has fanned 11. |
