Toiguchi Shuts Out Shogun, 3-0 Tuesday, May 19th , 2150 In a seemingly effortless performance, Noboru Toiguchi of the Chongqing Emperors shot down the Sendai Shogun, 3-0, on 3 hits. "Noboru was just locating so well and using his pitches," Chongqing manager said later. "He wasn't leaving anything over the plate." Toiguchi recorded 9 strikeouts and no walks in a strong outing. "When he needed to make pitches, he elevated his game," Sendai manager said in postgame comments to BNN. "We couldn't get a key hit off him."
