Barrage of Hits Gets Butler ABL-AA Award Monday, July 26th, 2106 24-year-old John Butler made a few Arlington headlines during this past week as the rookie catcher proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and ABL Double A officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 11 hits in 25 at-bats to put up a .440 average. Butler collected 3 home runs, 11 RBIs and scored 9 runs. This season Butler is batting .242 with 83 hits and 14 home runs. He has scored 46 times and has 60 RBI. |
