Hit Streak for Maatianen Reaches 20 Wednesday, July 22nd , 2150 Chalk up another one for Milan Marauders right fielder Jere Maatianen. He now has hit in 20 straight games. Maatianen went 2-for-4 in today's game at Badgers Stadium but saw his club defeated, 7-4, by the host Trondheim Scholars. "Playing on the road always makes it harder to get hits and to get wins," Marauders manager said after the game. "We got one of the two, but unfortunately it was the wrong one." Jere Maatianen hit an RBI double in the 1st, flied out in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th and flied out in the 8th. Thus far this year, Maatianen is batting .320 with 12 home runs, 60 RBIs and 43 runs scored. |
