Consecutive-Game Hit Streak Continues for Talib
Tuesday, August 11th , 2150
Chalk up another one for Nakuru Crocodiles second baseman Abdul-Tawwab Talib. He now has hit in 20 straight games. Talib went 2-for-3 in today's game at Aberden Ballpark but saw his club defeated, 6-1, by the host Chongqing Emperors.
"Playing on the road always makes it harder to get hits and to get wins," Crocodiles manager said after the game. "We got one of the two, but unfortunately it was the wrong one." Abdul-Tawwab Talib singled in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Mike Gregory in the 6th and walked in the 8th.
So far this year, Talib is hitting .267 with 12 home runs.
