ABL Double A Announces #1 Starter Sunday, September 1st, 2120 In August, Jorge Valdéz tore through the ABL Double A like a seasoned veteran -- quite impressive for a player only 23 years old. The young Beloit starter posted a 3-0 mark and an ERA of 0.82 to earn the Pitcher of the Month award. In 11 innings he collected 13 strikeouts while limiting the opposition to a .108 average. Looking at his season stats, Valdéz has won 4 and lost 3, collecting 73 strikeouts and 19 walks in 61 innings with a 1.48 ERA. |
