López Tosses Shutout Against Shogun Tuesday, August 18th , 2150 Mario López really had his stuff working at Merlions Ballpark. The Milan Marauders hurler mystified the Sendai Shogun, shutting them out, 3-0. López allowed a total of 6 hits in the ballgame and struck out 7. "The shutout is nice, but I'm just happy we won," López said with a smile after the game. "Coach can be a real bear when we lose." To date this season, López sports a 14-4 mark with a 2.67 ERA in 23 starting assignments. He has held the opposition to a .245 batting average and has 142 strikeouts in 168.2 innings. |
