Behind Pérez, Chongqing Blanks Toulouse, 5-0 Thursday, August 20th , 2150 Raúl Pérez hurled a fine game for the Chongqing Emperors at Aberden Ballpark, holding the Toulouse Fleur-de-Lis to 4 hits in a shutout win. "When he started out, his command wasn't that good, but he's a tough guy," Chongqing manager said. "The more pitches he throws, the better his command is." The left-hander had 9 strikeouts and no walks in the 5-0 victory. "An outstanding job," Toulouse manager said. "We couldn't get anything going. Every time we got a hit, he got out of the jam. He pitched a terrific game." This year, Pérez has recorded a 5-4 mark. In 14 starts he has fanned 83 batters in 90.1 innings with a 4.88 ERA. |
