Awad bin Hana was sizzling at the plate. In a game played at Empires Ballpark, the Gwangju shortstop blistered the Sendai Shogun for 5 hits in 6 at-bats to pace his club to a good 8-7 victory.
"bin Hana was too tough to get out," Shogun skipper said in his postgame interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too."
Awad bin Hana hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a two-run double in the 4th, doubled in the 6th, grounded out in the 8th and hit a two-run double in the 9th.
Thus far this season, bin Hana is hitting .305 with 8 home runs, 64 RBIs and 56 runs scored. He has 144 hits in 472 at-bats and has played in 118 games.
