ABL-AA Player of the Week Awarded Monday, May 5th , 2149 So far in his young career, Héctor Martínez has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the Americas Baseball League in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts. The 22-year-old Puebla Aztecs center fielder hit at a torrid .577 clip as he collected 15 hits in 26 at-bats, 2 home runs, 8 RBIs and 5 runs scored. Martínez is hitting .377 this year with 7 home runs, 16 RBIs and 15 runs scored. He has 40 hits in 106 at-bats, 7 walks and a .427 on-base percentage. Martínez has played in 27 games. |
