Gwangju Punchless in 10-0 Loss to Comets Saturday, May 27th , 2141 In an excellent mound performance, Mike Palmer of the Canberra Comets whitewashed the Gwangju Monks 10-0 on a 6-hitter. "I had my best stuff and did a good job of mixing up my pitches," he said after the game. In all, the Canberra hurler rang up 11 strikeouts and no walks in the shutout win. "We just didn't swing the bats well today," said Monks manager . "Palmer did a good job keeping us guessing." So far this season, Palmer has logged a 6-2 record with a 2.15 ERA. He has started 8 games, hurled 62.2 innings and registered 65 strikeouts and 15 walks. |
