Carolina Whitewashed by Lee Thursday, June 22nd , 2147 Guo-feng Lee had an impressive outing at Carolina Ballpark today, hurling the Kalamazoo Six Strings to a 8-0 shutout victory over the Carolina Coqui. "He threw strikes and he was always around the plate," Carolina skipper said. "The ball was doing everything he wanted it to do. We hit some balls hard, but they were all right at the fielders." On the day, the left-handed Lee yielded 5 hits and tallied 7 strikeouts with 2 walks. On the season Lee has compiled a 7-4 mark with a 1.47 ERA in 14 starts. In pitching 97.2 innings he has 102 strikeouts and 23 walks while limiting the opposition to a .180 batting average. |
