Pérez Tosses 3-0 Shutout Sunday, September 3rd , 2147 Raúl Pérez was in a zone of his own most of the day, shutting out the Canberra Comets on 3 hits. "He was too darn good for us today," grumbled Canberra manager after the 3-0 loss to the Chongqing Emperors. Pérez finished with 9 strikeouts and 2 walks in a strong outing. In the postgame press conference, Chongqing manager said Pérez "had good velocity, good movement and had those guys off balance. He just pitched his butt off." This year Pérez has a 5-6 mark in 12 starts with a 2.61 ERA. He has given up 74 hits in 89.2 innings, struck out 80 and issued 21 walks.
