Toucans Win Tight Americas Baseball League Latin American Division Race Tuesday, September 12th , 2147 In what was a fantastic bit of WBA Double A drama, the Americas Baseball League Latin American Division remained contested until the final day of the 2147 season. In the end, the Porto Alegre Toucans have triumphed and captured top spot in the division for the 17th time in team history. "How sweet it is," said right fielder Peter Tighe as he celebrated with teammates. "It may have come down to a single game, but this is the culmination of a season's worth of hard work." On the season, Porto Alegre has a 79-54 record. The club will be looking for the 11th WBA Double A championship in franchise history. |
