AA World Series to Ospreys Monday, October 2nd , 2147 It was a hard-fought battle for both teams to make it this far. But as the saying goes, "to the victors go the spoils." For the victorious Gujranwala Ospreys, that meant the WBA Double A AA World Series trophy. The Ospreys took a 2-0 victory over the Belem Jaguars at Jaguars Stadium, winning their 3rd championship after taking the series 4-1. "We've got grit," said Ospreys first baseman Naohiro Yamasaki, who was named MVP of the series. "We know how to win when we have to." The new titleholders completed the regular season with a third-place finish in the Intercontinental Baseball League Asian Division and a 76-56 record. |
