Venice Blanks Shogun, Beybukov Wins Sunday, June 7th , 2150 Negar Beybukov held the Okayama Shogun to 7 hits and fashioned a fine 5-0 shutout at Field of the Legionnaires. Speaking after the game, Venice Legionnaires manager said "Beybukov had everything going for him today. He changed speeds effectively, stayed down, had a lot of movement. He was masterful." Beybukov rung up 9 strikeouts and surrendered 1 walk in the game. "We couldn't get anything going. He certainly had our number," Okayama manager told reporters. This year, Beybukov has recorded a 8-0 mark. In 12 starts he has fanned 82 batters in 91.1 innings with a 2.07 ERA. |
