Venice Sits Atop Intercontinental Baseball League Afro-European Division Sunday, August 16th , 2150 The Venice Legionnaires have crushed the competition in the Intercontinental Baseball League Afro-European Division and today it became official - the team has clinched the division crown. "You never want to let off the throttle, no matter how many games you are up in the standings," said reliever Bastian Fialho. "We knew it was our division to win, but you never know what will happen until it's official." The Legionnaires have been the class of the division this season and with a 85-28 record thus far can lay claim to their 21st division crown. The club's manager has gotten a lot of credit for preparing his team for the season. "I think it's safe to say it's A World Series or bust at this point," he said. |
