Bergen's Tomás Reyes Suffers Setback Saturday, August 18th , 2142 Bergen shortstop Tomás Reyes reportedly suffered a setback this week while rehabilitating a torn meniscus (knee) ligament (wba). Preliminary tests showed the injury had gotten worse and would need more time to be completely healed. An unidentified team official said it looked like it would be at least 5-6 weeks before Reyes would be able to return to the active roster. Reyes will see a specialist tomorrow. Tomás Reyes is expected to undergo surgery in Bergen(Hordaland) tomorrow. In his stats this season, Reyes has posted a batting average of .250 with 52 hits in 208 at-bats, no home runs and 12 RBIs. He has also scored 18 runs, walked 6 times and compiled a .272 OBP. |
